Hi all,
I am going to be getting travel insurance out for my family where one member has pre existing medication condition. I will be declaring the over arching medical condition but it’s just occurred to me do I need to declare any extra side affects they take medication for as a result of that over arching conditions?

For eg the condition Is autoimmune so they take relevant immunosuppressive medication to manage the larger condition but it causes heartburn as a direct result of the immunosuppressants needed so they also take medication to manage the heartburn as a result.
Do I need to declare just over arching medical condition or any side affects which require medication also?
Hopefully the above makes sense. Look forward to hearing back shortly.
Any help or advice will be useful. Thank you

They don't ask about side effects just ask do you have specific conditions0

Yeh the questions online seem to be about main Medical conditions. I am just confused as to whether we would need to list heartburn for eg as a Condition cos they do take medication for that to manage the side affect symptoms as a direct result of the main conditions medication they take. I Would be interested to get as many options as possible.0

yes you do....If you have mentioned a condition to the doctor it will be in your medical record. It does not matter if that condition is herederity, caused by medication or even imagined it will be in the records and needs to be declared. If in doubt ask for the medical records and list everything in the time frame asked for. ...To simplify this, a medical condition caused by medication is a medical condition.
