MCOL - Request Judgement: Issued

Options
I've submitted a claim to MCOL. The defendant hasn't replied or admitted. Now the status of the Judgement is "Issued" but I don't see any CCJ being issued. When I click on the "issued" link it opens up a PDF with "Request for judgment and reply to admission (specified amount)".
Is this as good as a CCJ? Or do I need to request a CCJ separately from MCOL?

    CCJ means county court judgement

You already have it the courts found in your favour and now you have the paperwork to enforce their judgement

Problem is still to get paid, the defendant will more than likely just ignore it as for now it means nothing to them they can still just ignore you.

To make them pay, or at least have a far better chance of getting paid you now need to take this judgement a bit further.

That's where the Bailiffs come in, you can instruct the bailiffs to enforce this judgement for you, they have powers to seize assets of the defendants to cover the costs of the judgement.

There is still no way of knowing if this is going to work however, they may have left the area or have nothing to seize, but you still need to pay the bailiffs regardless of whether they can recover the debt and their fees.

The CCJ is just the first step in the process, the judge doesn't just tell them to pay up or else, if they still refuse then you have no choice but to call in the bailiffs

Thanks. I spoke to a HCEO and they said "this is not a CCJ", that's why I'm asking. I've seen another CCJ (paper) using the traditional small claims court after the hearing, and that is completely different from the MCOL's CCJ. Looks like the HCEO needs an actual paper?

Update: I ended up calling MCOL and they sent me the CCJ via email.
Note: There is no option for doing this online!
  • I'm presently going through MCOL request warrant stage.. and I just received a letter last week final notice to debtor to pay debt.. I tried calling MCOL today to follow through since it's been 3xweeks.. I think the next stage is to pay out another court fee £70 or even more maybe £100 plus to have the claim transferred to higher course with HCEOs bailiff's with higher powers.. I think these ones can seize personal belongings, and even cars / vans.. and there is also other options.. different kinds of orders you can pay the courts to enforce on them.. I tried doing some research earlier to find out out of the the money claims online, what's the success rate for debt recovery and apparently that information is not available, can you believe that.. they not actually sharing with us how many of these claims actually get paid out back to the claimant.. it just says 79% MCOLs have DEFAULT JUDGEMENTS.. which just means the debtor never responded to the claim against them, and the judge rules in favour of your claim so that you can move on to the next part which is request warrant.. which is the part I'm on now.. I started all this March this year..
