Barcelona Cheap Budget restaurants In the Las Ramblas Area

We will be staying at the Leonardo Hotel which is near the lower end of Las Ramblas. We are on a bit of a budget an do not want to spend our hard earned cash in expensive tourist restaurants can anyone recommend any budget, cheaper restaurant within an easy 15 minute stroll from where we are staying. Thank You

Its a few years since my last visit, but we stayed in the Hotel Cristal Palace which is north of Ramblas.  Lots of quieter less touristy streets with smaller and cheaper bars and restaurants.

Whilst not the cheapest and probably now slightly overhyped, Los Caracoles just off Ramblas is always worth a visit.  Go at lunchtime when it is much quieter for paella and try and get a table next to the kitchen.
