Experian Credit Lock blocked genuine credit check

So I'm annoyed with myself, having applied for a new current account and remembered that I had used the Experian "credit lock" facility just as I hit the final submit on the bank website. The hard credit check failed due to this, and now I'm not sure of the consequences or what I can do. The website said they need to do more checks and they will get in touch with me. I tried calling the bank, the person I spoke to said I should just wait for the applications team to reach out to me. I have unlocked my credit file now.
Does anyone have experience of anything similar, how was it resolved? I'm really hoping my application isn't rejected or my credit file is negatively affected.

you can unlock your file yourself, would speak to the bank you applied to and offer an explanation
the credit lock feature is security related surely this cant be held against you for protection of your own personal data

Personally, I'd be very happy that the credit lock that I was relying on to protect my personal data did its job!
But yes I'd be contacting the bank to let them know and wait for their response. If you get rejected, you can usually put in a complaint to appeal the decision.

Thanks for the replies. I did call the bank twice to explain, both times I was told I just had to wait. But I can see the bank did do a second credit check within 24h of the one that was blocked, so hopefully this will resolve itself soon, fingers crossed.0
