Octopus Energy will they combine readings from Economy 7 meter for standard tariff?

Although in my area (East Midlands) the new E7 low rate from Octopus is only 14.98p compaired to Shells 18.93p it comes at the expense of a higher day rate of 33.6p from Octopus. The single rate from Octopus is only 26.76p and as i dont use very much low rate electricity it would be better to just combine the 2 readings and have standard rate for all usage. Has anyone had success getting Octopus to combine the readings from an E7 meter?

Yes I did that for the same reason - give them a call and they will move you to flat rate.
You will still be providing two readings but both charged at the same rate.

In my case they actioned it in a day (last year).

Yes I did that as well, I'm in Essex.
I have a smart meter.
My bills still show separate day and night energy use but they are added together and a flat rate applied for the bill.

They will happily do that, as others have said, the only thing to keep in mind is, if you change tariffs with them*, they'll default to the E7 version every time, so you have to contact CS each time either when you switch or, if you're worried a deal might disappear before someone reads your message, you can switch online and then they'll backdate it.

*not applicable to 'smart' tariffs like Agile or Tracker
