The Great British Insulation Scheme

Anyone else eligible under the 'general' scheme been rejected outright by EON?

I've emailed them to ask why and point them at the OFGEM guidance. I've tried other suppliers who confirm that I am eligible (Council tax band C, EPC D, homeowner).

Also interested to hear if anyone in either the 'general' or 'low income' group has made it to the next step and been contacted by suppliers.

  • I was rejected by Octopus. Apparently they are only doing Loft and cavity wall insulation, so my 1910 (Council C, EPC E) solid wall house is beyond help...
  • Yes, me to - EPC F and council tax B but EON computer says no. Octopus only doing loft and wall, and I am looking for pitched foot or flat roof insulation as I already have EWI. EDF only doing own customers, British Gas I am on a waiting list and OVO I am not holding out hope for after reading on another post that someone was asked for £1200 contribution for simple loft insulation (which would probably only be a few hundred in total if you just got someone to do it) I am thinking of feeding my findings back to Ofgem as it's pretty rubbish so far.
  • Yes me. I meet the citeria for the 'general' scheme but I got rejected - no reason given. I only need roof insulation so I've asked for a reason. No reply yet :(
