LIDL Didn't register plate | Parking Eye fine

Hi, hoping someone has had a positive experience for an appeal here.
My other half drove my car into Lidl in Sutton, shopped and left without recording the car Reg (she thought she didn't have to as the rules have changed in other Lidls).
I received a Parking Fine of £90 (reduced to £45 if paid in 14 days) and have appealed this using the receipts and times on them as evidence she was shopping in Lidl. I haven't received an update on the appeal yet but if they reply after the 14days have elapsed will I now be liable for the full £90 if the informal appeal fails?
Also, are you still liable for the fine simply because you failed to register the reg even though you can prove you shopped in the store?
Many thanks in advance!

its not a fine
have you complained to lidl?
at this stage do not attempt to id the driver, never use words like i drove, he, she, brother, sister, husband, wife, uncle, aunt etcFrom the Plain Language Commission:

You won't be paying anything. But if this first appeal fails do not try POPLA. I think it will succeed if the receipt isn't tiny.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Unfortunately the Lidl contact number just directs you back to parking eye and going to the Lidl store in question will be a 2 hour round trip!
Also unfortunately I think I used the word 'I' as well as saying I'm appealing as registered driver. I know the other half was driving but didn't want to make it super convoluted.0 -
Have a look at the status of your parking charge on the PE website, login as if you were to be paying it (obviously don't!). You can check that at any time. Quicker than waiting for a letter through the post. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks all. I have logged in and it's still showing as a live charge (I appealed last Thursday, the day I received the PCN in the post).
I ensured I attached a fully scanned receipt which clearly shows the times. I just didn't want to get 'done' on the technicality of not logging in the reg in the store in the first place. Many thanks for your posts and I will update you on a hopefully positive outcome.... or coming back and saying if not POPLA, where to escalate?! Looks like LIDL are just as complicit and then wiping their hands saying 'Not our problem!'.0 -
No such thing as a registered driver! You obviously meant registered keeper.1

Just thought I would update everyone here and for anyone who does a search in the future.
Parking Eye cancelled the charge in the end on appeal. Thanks once again everyone!1
