Hope someone can answer. My mum received pension credits an is within qualifying dates.
Sadly she passed away on 12th September.
Will the estate receive this COL payment?0 -
I've heard of some estates receiving the CoL payments for last year, but they were usually a bit later on than the actual date for people who currently receive benefits. I imagine due to bank details not being in place still. So I think you may well, though it might take a little longer for the payment to be released.
ETA: This is, of course, if she was eligable for a payment in the period 18th August to 17th September.1 -
Sorry to hear about your mum passing. But yes, if she was eligible for benefits that entitled her to the CoL payment then the estate should still recieve the payment, it should be paid into the account that her benefits were paid into.If that doesn't happen then the executors of her estate should contact the DWP and ask why not.1

It’s being reported today that the £150 cost of living payment for people in receipt of PIP has been quietly cancelled.

Nowhere did it say there would be another one. It is just the one payment, that was paid in July, of £150. Same as the one last year.3 -

I'm afraid you're not correct and the link you posted is misleading. There was never going to be another CoP for those only claiming a disability benefit. There was only one, just the same as there was last year.

Hi there wonder if anyone can help!
I’ve seen in this thread if you received a payment at the end of September then you will receive the COL payment and that payment for the end of September was for the qualifying period between 21st august and ended on 22nd September…
so I was eligible in that time frame but the gov website states “period that ended in between those dates” for the September payment of UC the assembly period ended on 22nd September which is outside of that date given.
im a bit confused!Thanks!0
