The Givenergy charger is now available. £430+VAT.

GivEnergy 7kW EV Tethered Charger – Powerland Industries Ltd (batteryfactory.co.uk)

It can use grid, battery, solar or wind for a lot less cash than some.

Not compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go though.
Isn't it? I thought all Givenergy products were designed to work with Octopus.

My mistake. I was just going by the title. I thought it was a general charger thread.

I hope you didnt go for the wallbox. I had one fitted in August and it failed in October. The replacement they sent didnt work either. I am at my wits end with them, they dont reply to emails, and never ring back, Ive phoned over 15 times and I'm still in the dark as to when this is going to be fixed
  • Just to update the Zappi theme on this thread, it is now compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go and seems to works well.

I'm very happy with OI GO and Zappi but it's not without its problems. I've had a few occasions where charging has not worked properly. I did think it was just me but according to the contributors on the Zappi forums over the weekend we had a night where nobody's charging worked.   It still is a Beta product and this needs to be remembered.  Also I  requested sign up and then had to wait a couple of months. I don't know whether this is still the case but it does look as if people are getting on board more smoothly now.    Ultimately 6 hours at 7.5p per kWh is a great deal and the Zappi functionality of drawing off excess PV still works fine.
    Install 28th Nov 15, 3.3kW, (11x300LG), SolarEdge, SW. W Yorks.
    Install 2: Sept 19, 600W SSE
    Solax 6.3kWh battery

According to MyEnergi there was an issue, now fixed, on the octopus side at the weekend.  Not everyone was affected.

You had to wait because the IO integration was in closed beta.  It is now in open beta.  It is unlikely it will ever be other than beta because that's how octopus work.

I've had no issues in the couple of weeks we've switched.  Compared to some of the EV integrations e.g. Kia it seems to be highly successful.
