Virgin CC Debt and Default

Hi, just after a bit of advice regarding Virgin credit card. I stopped paying around 9 months ago and they went through all the standard missed payment letters etc. I then got contacted by Capquest who asked me to set up an account. I checked my credit file but Virgin seems to have totally disappeared. Its not there under 'Defaulted' accounts (with the others!), nor is it under 'closed' accounts. It's just not there at all.
Capquest have now sent me an offer of 30% reduction (I haven't made any payments at all so far).
Can anyone tell me how I can find out if this Virgin Credit Card has officially defaulted?

Did you check your credit file with each of the three main providers? Just to rule out the fact that not all credit card providers report to all credit reference agencies. Also just have a quick check under 'closed' accounts as well. It's probably lurking there somewhere on at least one of the main agency reports.

Ive looked at Clearscore and MSE credit club, can you tell me which others I should check? I signed up for Experian but dont see any info other than being asked to sign up and input card details for the free trial.0

Credit Karma/Totally Money or Moneysupermarket - they all have access to the third main agencey. My Virgin card is on all of my agency reports - so would just double check the 'closed' accounts section just in case they've put it in there.

mse is Experian
Credit Karma is Transunion.
Capquest should be reporting a default date on all three1 -
Hi i had a virgin credit card, got letter from them saying it was going to be defaulted then did not hear a thing, and all virgin details went from all 3 credit reports.
3 to 4 months later had a letter from capquest, so requested a copy of the CCA enlcosed a £1 cheque, they returned the cheque had no contact from them since, except text offer of 30% reduction but have I have not made any contact
Just checked all my credit reports capquest & Virgin do not appear but ARROW GLOBAL LIMITED show the default amount for the virgin account but only on Experian.
Hope this helpsI have Dyslexia which is a learning difficulty that primarily affects the skills involved in accurate and fluent word reading and spelling so some post may not make sense.1 -

I would really like to know if the account has actually defaulted. I have made a plan with all the other debts but Im reluctant to enter into any communication with Capquest without knowing.0 -

If Capquest are asking you for money, they have bought the debt, an account does not have to be defaulted to be sold on, a clue will be if they have stopped charging interest, if they have its likely defaulted and they are just slow to report it.

Keep checking all three cras to see if they show up. I have an old Barclaycard account that doesn't show up on TransUnion, and some of the other took a few months to show up after they were sold.In feeling quite pleased today as I've finally got a default notice from Virgin after 12 months on a dmp and 15 months of not paying. They were the last one to default so I now have a clear time to a clean credit record. I've made a complaint to them about the length of time it took to default me so ill see if they will backdate it1
