Gaiersoft MSMoneyQuotes update

If you use MS Money you will no doubt be pleased to hear that there is an updated version of MSMoneyQuotes available from Gaiersoft which downloads fund and share prices from the MSN server .  You will need to change your symbolmap file - look on the website for details.

The effort that has gone into re-engineering the software  to work with the changed MS interface is worth a donation in my view.

Thats good news...only problem is it won't make the prices of some of the shares in my portfolio look any better being able download them more quickly again 😥

All seems to be working now, although there are 2 different links to the Financial Instrument search on his site, which threw me. Using the one with the Country selection worked Ok for me.
eg  MIDD   will bring up either  aobmu2 for iShares  or  a1xmdm  for Middleby Corp.

The one that confused you was probably the corresponding old and new codes.  So one just has to go down the old  symbolmap, cut & paste the old code into the lookup link and copy and paste the new code back into symbolmap.  Rather faster and less error prone than typing in all the fund names.
