PCN Cancellation by Pub

I recently received a PCN from ECP I went to a pub for a meal. Had been going for years, but on this occasion there were small signs in car parks requesting to check your reg, after spending over an hour there, Week later received this fine of £100 or pay £60 if paid before the 22/9 luckily I kept the meal receipts , so went back to pub and the staff stated it would be cancelled and would receive a letter stating this but no formal confirmation has yet.On ECP website after putting in the PCN number and car reg it comes up with - £60 which appears to be minus and then tells me to go back and not to continue . Has anybody had any cancellation letter off ECP to prove this . Thanks for reply’s in advance

No they don't send one.  Just put in an appeal saying who cancelled it and asking for confirmation of cancellation by email, or a POPLA code.

That will get it moving one way or the other.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Many thanks Coupon-mad for your reply , when I got the fine a week later I went back to the pub and parked outside the car park and the pub signs were bigger and there was a machine on the bar to input the car reg so you could park free otherwise you had to phone a number and pay by card, the staff stated it would be cancelled and would get a letter from ECP confirming this. Thanks again

Don't miss the appeal deadline if it hasn't been cancelled by then. Do chase the pub manager/brewery CEO if it isn't cancelled explaining that you will sadly be an ex customer you have to go through the appeal process.

Yes, that should be it, and you were right to print off a hard copy. Keep it somewhere safe for the next six years.
Plan A worked. Well done, and thanks for letting us know.
