Inheritance tax forms post probate

This morning I have received two forms from HMRC IHT301 part 1 & IHT302 part 1. Both forms state an amount of money and say “To REPAY £x”. Does this statement “to repay” mean I owe them money or they owe me money? If I owe them money how do I pay it?! No instructions given

You have to pay IHT before probate is granted.Did you fill in IHT forms at all when applying for probate?0

Having received an IHT301 and IHT302 today mine contains numbers from my IHT400 submission. It’s in effect the HMRC IHT calculations. I’d calculated my own IHT owing and previously paid it and this was noted on the forms. @Bern64 had you previously calculated or paid anything in terms of IHT ?0

Yes my solicitor submitted all the correct IHT400 forms last year. I paid all the inheritance tax due. Probate granted last year. This year I made a claim for loss of money due to a stocks and shares isa being sold at a loss. I received a refund for that from HMRC. Seems to have generated these forms. I just need to understand what the term “repayment” means. Does it mean HMRC owe me money as the beneficiary or I owe them? If so how does 1/ they pay me or 2/ if owe them how do I make the payment. No explanation or instructions were given. No request for bank details or no idea how to pay them
