I think Poppy is taking a well earned holiday.JadedAngel88 said:Not seen much of Poppy either. I hope that they both return as they are very valuable to mse.
I know they both are on another forum and not been on there either (Not stalking just genuinely concerned).
Hope they are both ok.1 -

(Not expecting a response, just wanted to let you know.)Thanks, that's very kind of you and appreciated! I didn't actually see this thread until now.I have been messaging calcotti over the past year or so, on another forum so i do know a little of what's happening with them. In a strange sort of way i was hoping that no one would post to ask and then i wouldn't have to answer any possible questions. As regular members have now posted their concerns i think i should now say something. It's not good news, calcotti has been experiencing some serious health issues in the past year or so, maybe a little less. They had a brain tumour, which was successfully removed through surgery some months ago (not sure on the exact time frame without looking back through PM's on the other forum) Some months later symptoms returned and their health took another turn for the worse so they had more surgery. Yes, they did stop posting for a while because of difficulties communcating through text speak. They did return for a short period but sadly that didn't last very long and their health took another tumble. They did tell me that there's nothing further they can do but out of respect i didn't ask anything further and communication was very difficult for them at this point. They had to stop posting because of the communication issues with text typing. I haven't heard from them for about 5 weeks but i'm about to contact them again to check how they are doing. It's extremely sad and my heart goes out to them and their family. I do know that they had their first grandchild almost a year ago. I too miss their posts and all the amazing advice they gave to thousands of people. I learnt alot from them over the years. If i hear anything further i will update this thread. I hope if they do read this (though, i know they haven't been active here for more than a month) they won't think bad of me but so many people really appreciated all the time they spent here over the years giving such amazing advice i thought it only right that i should now let you all know.Calcotti, if you're reading this then you and all your family are in my thoughts every day!27 -
Wow, thank you so much for letting us know

Calcotti, if you read this, thank you for your incredible contributions - I still feel a newbie here but even in that relatively short time I've learned such a lot from you and have seen you have a great impact on so many people. Our lives are better for having had you in them, even anonymously like this. No doubt the same applies on the other forum too (I'm not a member but when threads come up in a Google search, they invariably contain valuable posts from you and poppy!). 'Thank you' doesn't feel enough to convey the depth of my appreciation. I will be thinking of you and your family and I wish you all the peace and comfort possible ♡

I'm so sorry to read this. Though I'm relatively new to posting here I did find Calcotti's replies to everyone to be of great value, always fair, balanced and knowledgeable. My best wishes to Calcotti and family.2

Wishing Calcotti all the very best, and thank you for all your help and advice to so many people over the years.1

Sorry to hear about this. I remember many, many years back now I had another id and they were so helpful and reassuring in their advice. They always gave clear advice and were very detailed as well. Most people come for advice as they are usually a bit confused and are given multiple answers from various sources and never know which route to take it, and worry it is the wrong decision.
They guided you along like a helping hand, and it was SO APPRECIATED.
Let them know I wish them well and let them know they have helped so many people over time and I myself am eternally grateful. I still have the printouts from a long while back.0
