Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, wet underfoot after heavy rain showers on and off during the night.
Lunch yesterday was roast chicken, so LO's that will form part of a meal over the coming days.
Back to work today.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Quite mild this morning but very wet, the rain woke me up a little too early!
DS1 and the DGC arrived on Saturday evening, DD and the little one joined us for breakfast yesterday so chaos for a few hours. After a lovely roast dinner my visitors left and I did all the housework, I went to bed at 8.30! Lovely to see them but it's so tiring when you try to fit everything in.
DS1 put up the living room curtain pole - it was a bit of a job but looks great with the curtains now hung. Just need someone to come now and put the new kitchen tap in.
Hope everyone had a good weekend, take care. XX9 -
Good morning. thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work is ok.It's not fully light yet, and I haven't looked out so don't know what the weather is up to. Yesterday started drizzly, and ended it late afternoon as sunny and breezy. If only it had been like that earlier, I would have done some washing. We went to D*nelm to look at curtains, didn't buy any but did buy a new duvet cover.Nothing in particular planned for today, though I do have some sewing on the go. I cut out out a top on Saturday and have started it so may crack into that.Iris we have a cat/cats leaving deposits in our garden , annoying isn't it..Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to anyone who is not well.Take care folks.10

Morning all. What a wet night it was. During the day there was heavy drizzle so I didn't bother going to the tip with the grass cuttings. In fact, I didn't bother doing too much of anything. ☹️ I ordered a couple of bath smellies online for my late DM's cleaner and did some shuffling around of money, nothing strenuous! To make up for yesterday I'm off to the 'strong and steady' exercise class this morning which I enjoyed so much last week. I'll take the grass cuttings away too.Happy Monday to all.9

Morning folks. I have been MIA for a little while but I have had a sad and upsetting time. Without going into great detail my lovely little Sparkle started being ill 2 days into my caravan break last week and I came home next morning to an emergency vet appointment. He gave her an insulin injection and wanted her back next day. No improvement and had another injection. Next day much worse and I agreed with the vet it would be kinder to let her go.
I am left very sad and bereft and will miss her so much. Lots of pet lovers on here so I know you will understand how I feel. Everyone has been so nice and I know it takes time so I'll be back with you soon. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
I'm so sorry to read about your beloved Sparkle TA. She did indeed bring many a sparkle to your life, cats are such delightfully funny creatures. You gave her a good life looking after her so well. I remember losing my own childhood cat and think of her still.Take care of yourself just now though I'm sure that your lovely family will be doing that too. Xx9

Hi everyone,
Oh TA, I'm so sorry to hear about Sparkle, pets bring such joy but such sorrow too.
Camelot, I wholeheartedly agree with you about the tiredness, I was in bed and asleep early as well. We went over to give Chris and Crystal a hand with their packing. I hope they have a restful time in Corfu, Crystal is suffering from sleep deprivation.
Esther watch today while Laura is at work, Esben is back at nursery and Steve and I need to prepare for our jaunt to Jersey (sounds like the title of a Mabel Esther Allen book, if anyone remembers them from their schooldays). The cleaner is coming today but the house is reasonably tidy so that's ok.
Probably chicken shawarma for dinner. Have a good day.9
