Titan mitre saw

I have the Titan Mitre saw from screwfix, the sliding version. All seems fine. Never owned or used one before. Found out how to. Make sure cuts are square. However have discovered, if I slide the saw fully out then slide it back in and watch the blade (when off) its proper !!!!!! and doesn't cut the line straight.
Is this normal for mitre saws and just needs adjusting? Or is this because its a cheap brand and defective so needs returning?

I'm assuming its a compound mitre saw. Is the saw set at 0 degrees? Unlike some saws the Titan isn't fully pushed to a stop for a 90 degree cut, there is an angle guide on the base and it can be set just past 90 and won't appear to cut straight. Same with the vertical, make sure you tightly lock it in place fully upright, a slight angle makes everything out.I have one, it's as accurate as the Makita it replaced. I don't use it much but it's a great tool for woodwork projects.

I borrowed a neighbours and he warned me it was a bit out. I did a few test cuts and discovered I needed to set it to 89 degrees to get the cut perpendicular to the horizontal guides. After doing this it was fine. Surprising how noticeable 1 degree out is.0

Yes its the TITAN TTB794MSW.
I'll double check. So if I'm doing just a normal cut (I've been using it to make plantation blinds) it will be square. If I then pull the saw towards be on its slide to the furthest it can (I tested when off), then lower it as if cutting a bit of wood, then slide it back in away from me cutting the length of the wood, I see the blade veer off to the right and doesn't follow a straight line.0 -
I once bought one of these and learned how to use it, to cut a few angles on skirting boards, because it was cheaper than hiring somebody to do it for me!0
