I want to order a small electronic item worth £30 from Amazon but the seller is listed as in China can anyone tell me if I would be lumbered with sending it to China if it needed return, or does it go back to an Amazon warehouse in the UK ?

Is it dispatched by Amazon? Normally if it’s dispatched by Amazon the delivery time will be a day or two, whilst international is more than a week. If dispatched by Amazon then you’ll likely be able to return it to the Amazon UK warehouse.

I'm experiencing difficulties in getting a refund of £399 for a defective soundbar that I returned to Amazon over 2 months ago. I've had no success with their on-line chat or speaking to them on the phone as they insist on seeing a delivery receipt for the product to their warehouse. As guided by them I used Parcel monkey. The item was collected from me and delivered to Amazon by Parcelforce via Parcel monkey. I have provided them with a tracking number and photographic evidence of delivery to their warehouse, but they still want to see a delivery receipt, which Parcelforce does not provide. I now need to write to Amazon's registered office as not getting anywhere with customer services. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? What is Amazon's registered address?

last return I made was simply take to post office, did not even need to be packed up, as they just scanned QR code & put it in a bag.

Amazon is a large company and operates from several registered addresses.

Their UK website says 

The Amazon.co.uk website and related apps and services are provided by Amazon Europe Core SARL and/or its affiliates.

They do have registered addresses in the UK but they deal with other business functions such as IT research and company HR.

Did you get an email confirmation of collection?
