Found an old premium bond, no idea if it's worth anything?

My wife is currently trying to do the same with a £1 bond given to her when she was a child (over 50 years ago!) They were unable to trace it initially so she is trying to sort it with NS and I by getting it linked to her account, recently opened with another bond investment. I think she has to provide some proof of ID which seems a bit OTT for a £1 bond but I guess if it's won £1m they need to cover themselves!
