Looking for home and content insurance and comparing website it’s mention it will not cover more then 1500£ excess and later it’s say 75000£ contents insurance.can any one explain.tried to read fine print but cannot get any points exactly what they cover in content insurance

£1500 may be referring to the limit for a single item. Often referred to as the “single-item limit”, so if you had say an expensive Rolex watch then you’d need to specifically list that as a seperate item.
£75k sounds like the total for all contents but there are often lower limits for “valuables” e.g. jewelry, “personal possessions” e.g. things you’d take outside of the home like phone and camera, and “single items” e.g. watch, ring.0 -
Reference to an "Excess" would usually relate to an amount you would have to pay towards a claim. Ie the first £1500. The policy should say which section that Excess applies to, could be storm damage or subsidence for example. If the repairs cost £10,000 you would pay £1500 and the Insurer would pay £8500.0
