HP UEFI hardware diagnostic out of date and update it.

Hi - have tried googling this and also tried HP support - community and by phone.
In HP support assistant it when I go to the hardware diagnostics  UEFI window says it is out of date (version 9.0.0.0) and to go here:

www.hp.com/go/techcenter/PCDiags 

Went to software and drivers and downloaded diagnostic driver (in all drivers) which said installed but when I go to diagnostic window in HP support assistant it still says out of date as before.

Why do you feel you need to update it?

That's only any good if the computer comes on in the first place.  If it doesn't then you have more serious issues.

Thanks for your reply. I feel need to update because when I go to use UEFI it says its out of date.  Have been watching Nowtv on laptop and its refusing to play some of the time - wanted to see if there was anything wrong with the laptop.

What do you mean by use the UEFI ? 

I'm confused by what you mean , do you have any screenshots?

Are you on windows?

Is now tv an app or through the Web?

What's your broadband speed , are you on WiFi or hard wired?

What do you mean by refusing to play , it gets stuck on buffering or the video won't play at all?

Do you have any other problems with the laptop or other websites in general?

If nowtv is not very unreliable in windows I'd check your internet  connection.

That sounds more like a software issue.  The diagnostic stuff won't fix that.
