Good morning, still dark and it's wet here.
I'm not sleeping well at the moment, and have been awake for quite a while, so I thought I might as well get up.
Don't know what fate has in store for me today, we'll see.
Hope everyone is ok, have a good day folks, take care.

Good morning - thanks for starting us off Scarlet, sorry that you're having trouble sleeping.Yesterday got very chilly in the afternoon, autumn is creeping in. I did a quick trip up to Oban to send off a return parcel and did a little bit of shopping too. The other day I downloaded a long awaited audible book from one of my favourite authors so listened to it for a short while.Today could be less warm than I'd like, for now I have no plans, something will pop up. 😀 I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Strictly Saturday to all.PS - more fab cuteness from DP1's little one made me laugh. 😘8

Thank you for the reminder for Strictly Gers.6 -
Morning Scarlet & Gers & all who follow. It seems quite a pleasant day so far, I didn't put a jacket on when I walked the dog. We have a very early k.o for DGS football this morning, setting off shortly, other than that nothing planned as yet.I made a card for our friends birthday yesterday, I'm quite pleased with it, and I had a dabble with the watercolours- more practise requiredCrispy chilli beef tonight. Happy Saturday to everyone x

Morning All
Very wet out this morning but I'm hoping for the promised sunshine later as I've done a couple of loads of washing.
Boiler service all ok so that's another thing ticked off my list. Need to collect a kitchen tap this morning as mine is dripping and can't be fixed, seems really silly that it has to be replaced but there we go.
HT was having a slight huge panic yesterday as it looks like we will have an inspection at school soon - not before time and I can't see it going very well!
Met DD and the little one for something to eat after work which was lovely, they have been away for a few days and it was the little one's birthday. She very proudly told me that she was now 4, when I asked how that happened she said it was a magic hotel!
Off for my flu jag this morning then I must go shopping as DS1 and the DGC are coming later until tomorrow, I must also give the allotment some attention and pick some more beans - look out neighbours!
Hope you have a good weekend, take care. XX7 -
Morning all.
Dry and sunny here this morning and I'm about to hang out some washing. After that we have a man coming to look at the dishwasher but I'm not hopeful it can be fixed. I'm already thinking of meals that don't require much washing up!
This afternoon I'm out playing at a Brewery open day and I don't even like beerI'm sure I can pass my drink on to someone else to have.......
Happy Saturday everyone.6 -
Morning everyone
Raining here and very blustery - it seems Autumn has arrived. It rained all day yesterday and last night I was chilly watching TV - I put my thick socks and then the electric blanket to warm the bed up before I got in!
Today I need to go into town to collect a prescription and will have a look in the charity shops. There's washing hanging on the airer which will get ironed at some point. Little one will be coming this afternoon and staying for a sleepover - she asked for spaghetti bolognese for tea - nice and easy as I had the sauce in the freezer.
Camelot - I wonder if the magic hotel can make people younger as well as older!
Had a lovely chat with eldest DD before I got up - she is now on an island called Gili air ( probably not how its spelt ) and has been swimming with turtles. She sent photos - they look amazing.
Right I'd better move and get dressed if I'm going to catch the 9.30 bus.
Hope everyone has a good day x7 -
Hi everyone,
The family are travelling back home today, they're experimenting with daytime travel rather than evening so we'll see how that goes, they'll probably have a couple of long stops for children and dogs.
Chris has finished his training for the new post, he's been in Newton Aycliffe for the last three weeks, he's now got a week's holiday and then starts the new role. They're off to Corfu for a few days having booked an all-inclusive package, the first they have done. Nate had a couple of settling days at nursery which seemed to go well for him, I think Crystal suffered more. We'll probably go across and help so that they can pack and sort the house tomorrow.
We're off to Jersey on Wednesday for a few days as well. That's come around very quickly, I thought we had a bit more time than that. I need to decide what we're eating for the next few days, tomorrow is easy, Lidl had fresh duck for £8.99 yesterday so I bought one for tomorrow and one for the freezer, which is getting a bit full now.
Have a good day.7 -
Morning everyone back from my hols and feeling refreshed I had a lovely week in t shirts all week we had cracking weather I didn’t realise how much I needed that week away we had some lovely walks went to some beautiful beaches most of them we had to ourselves and of course we had a morning over at Lindisfarne it was so peaceful we like to get there early and most people were coming on to the island as we were leaving before the tide came in hubby did well considering he’s not long had his knees done but he sat on a seat and watched the seals while me and the little dog took of to the top of the castle and had a good mooch about. Back to reality when I go to work on Monday I will have 165 days to do and counting it is pouring down here washing is done and on the airier there’s nothing urgent I am going to make a big pan of soup for lunches next week I’ve had to many treats while I was away I need to get off the slippery slope or I will be piling it on . I have had a quick look through everyone’s news happy birthday to anyone I have missed and holidays and anniversary’s. Strictly tonight can’t wait it’s the highlight of my year told you I had a sad life . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing6
