Tried to open account, successfully applied online but couldn’t access online banking even though I was on phone to call handler!
Decided not to entrust my money to a bank that was inaccessible online, would I have been able to make a withdrawal?

FWIW I have accounts with Cynergy and have had no issue in accessing, depositing and withdrawing. In fact I forgot to change the account number when depositing to a recently closed account and they allocated it correctly to the new account.Aim 1:12mth Emergency Fund -> £4720/£15000 Aim 2: Car kicks the bucket Fund -> £7920/£170000

Both my partner and I hold numerous accounts with Cynergy for quite sometime now and never had any issues accessing the accounts, depositing / withdrawing funds or doing internal transfers.0

Cynergy are one of those very irritating savings banks that are obsessed by bureaucracy and security, long delays in sending passcodes by post and then sending a digibox a further 7 days after that ( if you do not have a smart phone-----if you DO have one you still need an irritating app). I know this because I opened an account for a relative who asked me to do so. In the end, I told Cynergy that they were one of the worst savings banks I had ever dealt with. I know nothing about how efficient and wonderful they are once an account is up and running. Once again I strongly recommend Shawbrook which is far better -----the best savings bank I have used for my own savings.1

For the 1st time in a while their latest issue actually drops to a tiny amount (was 5.00 now 4.95).0
