Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, but dry underfoot.
Dinner last night was a cheeky pizza takeaway. Tonight use up from the fridge.
I have several things to do so will work my way through the jobs.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Dull this morning and so still, looks like there will be rain later.
Busy day yesterday, haircut and dentist after work. The dentist shaved a little bit off the crown so my teeth meet again thank goodness.
Glad you enjoyed the outing Gers, not sure if I would enjoy it or not.
Lovely to hear from you Mehefin, sorry to hear Mrs M will be out of a job.
Sounds like you had a good day out Rosy, I love Greek food.
Good to have you back Coxy, well done on the walk. Sorry your DD didn't get the result she was expecting, can she appeal?
Enjoy London NRA.
Off to the funny farm in a minute, thank goodness it's Friday! Take care. XX8 -
Morning all.Don't like these dark early mornings when I wake up at the crack of dawn. Happens every year, obviously, but it still gives me the hump!Picking DS up from the local garage while his car is in for it's MOT and bringing him back to his house. Then off to do some food shopping. Must remember to hang washing out before I go to give it a head start to dry but looks like being a reasonable day with a bit of sunshine thrown in.Take care all x6

Morning all. When I woke this morning it was still dark outside, already missing the light. My drive home was enjoyable again, it's been many a year since I went across to the east coast so I found it all a bit different. An unexpected pleasure was coming across a really delightful wee independent bakery in the small place we were staying in. It made proper bread and pastries. I swerved the disheartening hotel breakfast yesterday to have a delicious cheese, egg and chorizo brioche instead.Camelot - I wasn't sure that museum was for me but there were parts which I was interested in. I was more keen to take my friends who thoroughly enjoyed themselves - job done. Good news about your tooth adjustment.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Friday to all.8

Morning all
Looks to be a nice day here again but a bit chilly here this morning, I am off to take my car in for a service this morning and hopefully they will find and fix the problem with the clutch, then back to get my nails done and then maybe back to the garage later to collect my car if they phone, I have a courtesy car which is good as the garage is over 1/2 hr away as that is where I bought it.
Dd is feeling better and has been told she can return to work today, she is on a late shift so just OH and I here for dinner which may be something quick like a pizza depending on the garage phoning.
Mehefin nice to see you posting x
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
Thanks nmlc, hope you get your jobs done today. It feels a bit warmer today, no sun though. I'm another finding the darker starts and evenings a bit disheartening, seems to have come round so quickly this year.Gers glad you enjoyed your trip, the breakfast brioche sounds delightful. No plans for today really but I want to make a birthday card for our friend> Also experiment with some watercolours for making backgrounds for some Xmas cards that I saw in the mag I bought earlier in the week. I bought a new small palette of colours yesterday walking through town for the bus after our jaunt. I'd realised that the DGC had taken a lot of art stuff to DS when they had a spell of painting.I'll decide on tea later, the fridge is full after my Oc ..o delivery yesterday.Hope you all have some sun today xCross posted Ruby, glad DD is feeling better x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all from Mehefinland
had a text last night at 8.50 inviting me and Mrs M to a drop in clinic today for a Covid and flu jab. Aimed at the over 65's. Cue "Hot Fuzz" moment from Mrs M. I'm not 65 I'm only 64. She chuntered on all evening getting more and more annoyed as I chuckled away. It's often the small things in life that bring the greatest pleasures lol. I think she was included as she is in the asthma register with our surgery, but the reaction last night was priceless.
Think blackberry picking will be on the cards when the sun breaks through. The hedges are black with them. Just hope it isn't the forebear of a hard winter ( old folks tale?) but everything seems topsy turvy this year. Our pear tree went nuts and bombed anyone unfortunate to be standing underneath. Within a week the tree was bare. Almost go to the stage of neighbours seeing me coming with a bag would quickly hide - not more pears.
Have a good day all. Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all; bright and sunny here at the moment, although a bit chilly.
DH has gone out for the day with DSon in law to some sort of Spitfire experience near Oxford. It's something they are both interested in so I hope they enjoy it. I was going to make a cake for a friend's birthday but the electrics in the house went as I was going to bed last night and this morning it seems as though it was caused by the dishwasher. We think the pump has gone so I've left a message somewhere in case it can be looked at today. It's an integrated one and about 15 years old but has done us very good service and I'd buy the same again.
I've also offered to go and buy some bulbs as a farewell gift for someone so could get that done today.
Happy Friday one and all.9 -
Morning everyone
Raining here this morning - it's forecast to last all day.
I'll go down to do dads banking this morning before I go to work. Little one was very excited yesterday as it was her first PE lesson - when she came out I told her I liked her PE clothes - 'granny they're not called PE clothes, it's kit, PE kit!' That was me told - we never did find out what she actually did in PE. Her shorts look like they'll last her about 3 years!
Right I'd better get on so I'll wish you all a good day x8 -
Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off nmlc
The sun is shining here and it looks like being a lovely day.
My neighbour has just popped round with eggs/toms/beans/courgettes all from their garden.
Hope you all have a great Friday. x7 -
