i ordered a click and collect parasol base. It was acknowledged the outer packing was split in transit but the item should be OK Told to check when I got home a click and collect was not the shops responsibility. When I arrived home and opened there was chalk crosses and sticky on the iteI have E Mailed Customer services and the CEO Simon Spencelayh with photographs requesting item to be picked up and a refund did receive an automated response saying someone would respond within 2 working days, but so far nobody has bothered to contact me, It is quite unbelievable the state of the packaging and item. Who else should I contact at Robert Dyas as customer service is non existent for a complaint

Can we have some dates here? If it’s only 2 days ago, or even a week ago, I think emailing the CEO was probably a bit premature. Different story if this has been dragging on for months, but need to know dates (roughly) to give further advice.0

I would have checked instore before taking.
But how long since you contacted them?
Have you tried phoning them?
Looks like you can take most online purchase back to store.
Whether you bought the product in store, online or over the phone, most of our products can be returned to a Robert Dyas store.

I sympathise. Robert Dyas are good when you purchase in store. However when it comes to making a complaint about A Click and Collect item , trying to speak to anyone at Head Office customer service Is a nightmare. I had a similar experience a little while ago, and it took me nearly a month to sort out. They refused to collect it from my property and insisted I returned it to a store, despite fuel and parking costs to me. The item in question was damaged.0
