I have several pending updates. They should download automatically but haven't for a few days.
When I attempt to manually download the 'download now' button is 'greyed out' and it shows one download as 'downloading -0%' and the rest as pending download. and this doesn't change.
Any ideas please?

Firstly do a 'Restart' (not Shutdown) of your machine, then go to Windows Updates and see if they start downloading/installing now.
Tip- open Task Manager and see if there is major activity of the CPU and/or downloading of update files.Next do you have enough free space on your C: drive? If it's almost full then you may need to free up some space (or use a second drive) it should warn you if you are short of space but it doesn't always:
