Garage failed to repair my car

Not all garages are equipped or trained to diagnose and repair modern diesels, particularly the fuel systems.
You could try selling it as is, list all the faults and the faults you don't really know what they are, call them problems!
You will obviously be almost giving it away, probably to someone who knows how to fix a diesel.
Or
Take it to a diesel specialist and at least get them to diagnose what's wrong and quote a repair price.
Then you can make a better decision, though it will cost a little in diagnostic time.1 -
If you don't want to spend any more money, auction it and answer their questions honestly, roughly. My car has done 100,000+ miles and can be a little smokey/smelly. Your car has done a lot of miles, issues are the norm.chrisw said:It's not an offence as such to not declare it to the likes of WBAC but they will want to test drive it and I'm sure their terms say they can reverse the transaction if they find a hidden major fault.Try posting on the Volvo forums, they're usually very helpful.
