Hi all,
My poor sister in law has fading eyesight and unfortunately, due to poking the end of the cable too hard trying to charge her phone (bought 2 years ago) her phone seems to be dead.  She took into a Repair Any Phone type shop and they said they couldn't do anything.  I'm surprised that nothing can be done as the phone is so new and I thought we were supposed to try to repair nowadays rather than replace.   I'm asking people's opinions here.  Thanks.

They said 'They' couldn't do anything...Are there any other repair shops locally, generally one in the local market....Failing that.... How to get your mobile device repaired | Samsung UK

The A20 is now 4.5 years old , in phone terms thats ancient due to how frequently phones and tech are upgraded

Quick Google tells me the charging port is on a daughter board and therefore simple to replace as long as the daughter board is available

Ah yes available for a fiver on ebay , you could always buy one and take it to a repair shop to fit or if you are confident on the tools....
