PREMIUM BOND WINNINGS

I don't like to brag... but I've just won £100 on the Premium Bonds! :)
Its set it so my winnings automatically buy more bonds which it has.
My question is are these bonds put straight into 1st October draw, or will I have to wait till 1st November as if I had just bought them now myself?

  • Auto reinvested winnings go straight into the next draw.

Sorry to jump in with a slightly different question. My daughter just phoned me to say she has received £25.00 into her bank account today from xxxxxx PBZ and did not know where it came from.

I told her this PBZ looks like a Premium Bond win, but she said that her winnings are added to her PB account and that she did not win anything in the August draw. Does anyone have any thoughts? At least it's money coming in and not going out.  B)

Yes, that's the code for a Premium Bond prize. The 14th is a little late though - mine are usually paid on the 8th of the month, so this might not be the usual, conventional PB prize. There have been reports of spurious payments in the main PB thread in the past, although I can't remember the reason for these off the top of my head and the thread is VERY long !

Recent winnings will be from the September draw so has she checked those results ? Odd that they'd be paid out if she's got them set to automatically reinvest though, like you say.

Thank you refluxed for your prompt reply. I appreciate the confirmation on the PBZ code.

I just edited my OP as it should have read September and not August.  :/

I received one recently myself. It appears they are payments from previous draws for which the recipient is no longer eligible.  In my case the payment was from 2021 and I managed to track down the month by looking at the NS&I website payment history and comparing it against what I know I received for that month until I located the difference. In about a weeks time, she will receive a letter confirming this is the case.

Thank you - appreciate that. I will let her know.
  • Me too, £100. Have had £500 for 30 years and only the third prize, other times were £50 and £25
