Repeated AdBlue Emissions Fault on Peugeot 3008

Got an 18 plate 3008. Bought secondhand from dealership 2 years ago.

4 months ago it had an engine fault mentioning an Adblue problem. Fixed in £90 diagnostic with a software update ... for 3.5 months.

Back in today with the fault which they said was due to sensor not picking up that we refilled the AdBlue. This time the diags was £50.

On the comments they said that they reset the electronics but if the problems come back a longer diagnostic session would be required.

The car has a couple of months 'limited' warranty left from the sale but every time they've suggested work at the service they've put it down to wear and tear e.g. rollbar needed welding etc.

Any advice as I'm unsure they're getting to the bottom of the problem and it's costing me time and money to keep going to the dealership and be without the car all day.

  • First things first, can you take out a Peugeot extended warranty, if yes do so, NOW.
    I have a 66 plate 5008 1.6 Bluehdi.
Never refilled the adblue as was done at main dealer service.
A month or so ago I got a warning light come on, Emmisions fault  etc.
Used a basic scanner for the code, Adblue tank issue, AGH a known fault and expensive £1600 ish.
Called every dealer near me and 31/08/23 was the first booking I could get , just for the scan.
All other Peugeot dealers were quoting end September for first visit.
Anyway I got booked in at a main dealer 60 miles from home.
Fault found, Tank ordered and fixed 9 day later.
Glad I had taken out warranty.
The only person Ive seen that knows all is on youtube.
