BARGAIN LOVING BRITS IN THE SUN S8 DAYTIME COMPETITION – ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Competition opened at 12:00 (Midday) on 22.09.2023
• Competition closes at 12:00 (Midday) on 02.01.2024 and 3 working days later for postal entries

1) The prize comprises a seven (7) night stay in the winners choice of either Costa Del Sol or Costa Blanca, Spain for two (2) people including;

a) Return Economy flights from a London airport to either Malaga or Alicante airport

b) Return transfers from the airport to the hotel

c) Seven (7) night’s accommodation at a 4* hotel

d) Daily buffet continental breakfast and evening meal

2) Where the prize winner is under 18 years old, the winning individual must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over to check into the hotel. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes.

3) The prize must be taken by 15th December 2024 but cannot be taken between 15th December 2023 to 5th January 2024, 29th March 2024 to 13th April 2024, 6th May 2024, 27th May 2024 and 1st August to 31st August 2024. The stay must be completed within the time-frame stated within these terms and conditions. Extensions to the validity of the prize will not be allowed unless first authorised by Channel 5.

4) Booking is subject to availability. 

5) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of the date of their congratulations letter from Cloud Nine and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred booking date or the prize may be forfeited.

6) The winner will be offered a range of 4-star hotels to select from in their chosen location of either Costa Del Sol or Costa Blanca. Costa Del Sol resorts include Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Nerja, Marbella, and Estepona. Costa Blanca resorts include  Benidorm, Calpe, Albir and Altea.

7) Neither Channel 5 nor Cloud Nine will accept responsibility for the hotel or any facilities / elements of the prize being unavailable, withdrawn or amended.

8) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.

9) If fulfilment or any element of this promotion is delayed or affected due to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic and resulting Government restrictions, all entrants affected will be contacted by the Promoter and kept updated of any unavoidable changes to the promotional dates, revised fulfilment dates or prizes.

10) It is the responsibility of the prize winner to inform the prize provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the prize winner and his/her companion when taking the prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.

11) Any additional charges or expenses due to COVID-19 which could include but are not limited to  quarantine hotels, COVID passports (should they become a requirement), COVID tests etc. will be the responsibility of the prize winner. 

12) Passports, Visas and City and ECO taxes are the responsibility and at the cost of the prize winner.  Channel 5 or Cloud Nine cannot be held responsible if the prize winner or any of the travelling party fail to obtain the required travel documentation.

13) Travel insurance is not included but it is strongly advised for travel. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to organise and pay costs associated with obtaining appropriate travel insurance for themselves and their companion. 

14) The prize winner and their party (where applicable) are responsible for and must comply with any health advice / regulations / inoculations required by any destination country.  Any associated costs for this are the responsibility of the prize winner and their party (where applicable).

15) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize.

16) For the avoidance of doubt, the prize does not include travel to and from the home to the airport, gratuities, meals or other  travel expenses unless otherwise stated, or any other costs of a personal nature not stated for winner and guest.
