Balance transfer to American Express from Virgin - worked on opening now can't transfer!!

Hi there hoping some can help please..... I opened a virgin CC to take advantage of the interest free period - on opening a transfer was made to my Amex card. I have since tried to transfer out more (well with in limit) and it won't let me - I've called virgin who say Amex have technical issues - I've called Amex who say they haven't!! Help please?

Do you mean balance transfer from Amex to Virgin, rather than Virgin to Amex?
It can often be be problematic BTing from Amex due to the 15 digits. How was it done the first time?0
