Lantern debt collectors

My mum received a debt letter from lantern debt collectors at her address for me, now I’ve never lived at her address or taken anything out in her address so how this happening?

Fishing expedition possibly?  Your credit history must link to her in some way and so the collectors are just trying to find a way to contact you.  Some names are unusual enough that a relationship will be assumed.  Or 2 names in the same area that are similar as in Rob Carmichael and Bob Carmichael who might be father and son.

Have you had a look at your credit history to see if you know what the debt's for and from when?  If you feel you must contact them (& I'm not necessarily suggesting that you should) then do so by post, don't phone and give them a number that they can use to harass you.
