Red Letter Days

Hi I bought a Red Letter days experience voucher as a gift for family. The experience was not as advertised by them. Different restaurant & shorter tour. I started a mammoth task of trying to make a complaint to them & to Imagine Experiences who did the tour.Eventually having email conversations  with RLD they have handed it to their handover team stating that " As the voucher was booked directly with the supplier and is now under their terms and conditions" Surely as i bought it from them not Imagine Experiences it is their responsibility to ensure that the experience is the same.as they advertised.? Has anyone had anything similar happen to them or any advice?
Many thanks for reading
