Yup - SSL certificate expired 7 days ago. Indicates website is abandoned. If you go to the website it is the same company born_again states, just trading as Antonia Burrell.Terms are an interesting one - a lot of references to Sales of Goods Act and apparently VAT is 17.5%! Clearly copied and pasted from elsewhere. Privacy policy makes no reference to GDPR, just DPA.OP there is the following:
If you have a query, or in the unlikely event of you making a complaint, please contact our Customer Services Team on +44 207 788 7514 or send an email to service@antoniaburrell.comSo maybe can call them.Interestingly their VAT registration (116806226) has a different registered address, but same company. And the return address again goes somewhere else. Also fact checking a few of her statements - she’s not registers on the London College of Fashion staff page,Unfortunately - it does look rather suspicious. There’s a few typos, the terms are wildly out of date, and SSL expired. Plus the ‘embellishment’ of her story - I think this is very scam-like….OP there’s a pay via PayPal - I don’t suppose you did that did you? Could maybe try and convince PayPal you’ve been scammed.1 -
Hi , I had previously tried the number and it just dosent call and have sent numerous emails to all the ones that were on the site .
unfortunatly I paid by debit card .I don’t think it is a scam as I have ordered with here since 2021 but maybe she is in trouble with her business?
I know of at least 5 who are in the same boat so is there a way to lodge a claim as a group?0 -
All companies are reliable until they run into trouble.
It looks as if your order is not going to materialise.0 -

I know of at least 5 who are in the same boat so is there a way to lodge a claim as a group? As for group claims - the simple answer is no. The UK doesn’t have class action lawsuits per se. So you’d be likely to make claims individually. Of course, you could all group together to make a claim and then submit individually. Again the costs don’t change though, so it may or may not be worth it.Could maybe appeal the chargeback and explain what’s happened but realistically I think that’s the only option you’ve got1 -

Visa/Mastercard set the timescales & this one is well outside the time limit. So it fail on the 1st hurdle.
Money claim online, but fear that is just throwing money away. Given the info provided.Life in the slow lane2 -
Hi all , me again . Another question regarding this purchase .I managed to contact her on instagram where she said that she had had supply issues and if I was happy to wait then fine or she would process a refund. I asked for a refund and she said ok .That was on the 22nd of September and now she is back to ignoring my communication . does this help me in anyway that she has offered me a refund but not followed through on this offer ?In hope , Kath .0
