I would love to sell on eBay - have bought precisely one item from the site back in 2007, and then posted a load of stuff for sale 10 years later only to be blacklisted with appeal rejected :( . What are my options?

I have been using Gumtree successfully for years, but stuff takes a while to shift.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

I’ve asked the forum team to move your post to a new thread as your situation is a little different.

when you say ‘blacklisted’ what exactly do you mean, was your account restricted or suspended and did you owe any money at that point?

if you were suspended or restricted then you cannot start a new account , obviously you are now going to be inundated with people suggesting stealth accounts and stuff, but be careful. A new account with a new name, new bank account new email and new address may well succeed after such a long period of time, However , if your account is linked at any point in the future with that old account then you risk the old debt being taken from any current funds, and you will lose the new account as well. It is a gamble that only you can decide is worth it or not.

If however you just walked away from eBay but with an intact account, then you can either reinstate that account, as the OP has done in this thread, or open a new one using different details for the major things like email etc.

    Heya.

This is dependent as to why you were black listed. Firstly in order to start with you need to learn from it. You still have numerous options instead but please take care when selling stuff. I’m not sure if you have already looked into it but some people love to sell items at a garage sale. Best wishes.

Alternatively you can try your luck on Facebook Market Place or Gum Tree too. Also use Amazon and so on. More options include Craigslist and Nextdoor.
