Mortgage application and credit card balance

Hi,
I'm planning to buy a house soon (still looking).
I have AIP but I'm a bit unsure about a question on there.
It asks for credit card balance and if it will be paid of by the time of mortgage application.
I only have 1 credit card (no loans, overdrafts, mobile phone contract etc) and use it for everyday shopping (to collect loyalty points and to have some credit history) but pay it off in full every month so it's always got some balance on it (not much, no more than £150/month). Literally the only credit balance on my credit report is the credit card and water bill (gas and electricity are showing too but the balance is always £0).
Do I need to stop using the credit card before the mortgage application so it has 0 balance or does it make no difference? I have plenty of money in bank to pay for everything without needing to borrow money, just use the credit card for the rewards.
Thanks!

Just put the balance as maybe £100. The balance they pick up on the card will depend on what the balance is when your credit card company updated the credit reference agency. At £100 with a buffer in there, it wont be a million miles out.
Tick to say it will be cleared prior to completion as it will be and is cleared in full... Or dont. A £100-150 balance on a credit card is going to have a very small effect on a mortgage I would have thought.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
