I use normal supermarkets own value chocolate and dilute with a little milk (nicer than oil)0

Just watch out if you are not using oil - keep an eye on the chocolate fountain as last Summer when we were at a bbq no-one noticed that the fountain wasn't flowing properly until the choc that had been getting clogged up suddenly exploded everywhere! No-one was hurt and it wasn't too much of a problem as it was outside on a plastic picnic table, but it would have been one BIG mess to clear up indoors!0

I got a chocolate fountain as my secret santa present! We used normal galaxy chocolate and oil.....it was lovely!!!
