UC and journal

Hello, have now done migration to UC and have another question about the journal. How often do I check it? I have been looking twice a day. I have had a message on my phone twice to say i must go to the journal to do something - do they always send a message if they want you to look at the journal? If they do does that mean I can stop looking twice a day? It is quite stressful looking as it is unknown.
The person who is the case person said she will help me and then someone from Canterbury sent me a message to say they will help me sort it out and not to worry but I am nowhere near Canterbury so even more confused!
Do they tell tax credits to stop or do I have to?
Thank you

I can't remember, do you have LCWRA (from the ESA Support Group)? If so then you'll rarely have anything to do and can just rely on them sending a message (text or e-mail) to alert you if you do need to check it. For now if you can, maybe just check it once a week until you're happy that they always alert you to anything new. Then you should ultimately be able to go down to just checking your UC statement is correct every month.
But if you're too anxious to only check your journal once a week to start with, maybe start with once a day or every couple of days, and gradually check less often as you become more comfortable.
If you don't have LCWRA, they should still send messages anyway but you may have things to do more often.
The agents who write messages can be from literally anywhere, the only location-relevant ones would be if you had a work coach you see at the Jobcentre, which is not applicable if you have LCWRA anyway.0 -
Universal Credit informs tax credits to stop.
When you make a new UC claim, log in every couple of days to ensure any to-do list items are cleared and journal messages responded to.
Once claim is up and running after a month, log in when you receive any message. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.2 -
