What exactly do lenders see re credit accounts?

Hi all, I've seen some conflicting information on this so thought I'd try get some input from the knowledgeable people here. When a lender conducts a hard search, and they see who you have credit card accounts with, do they actually see the name of the credit card provider, or just that you have a credit card with x credit limit, y balance, z history?
Follow-up question if they can see the name of the credit card provider - is this taken into account? Say you've had good credit history for 6 years, but still have a card from a "bad credit" provider like Zopa, Zable etc., and a lender like AmEx or Barclaycard is conducting a hard search, would they view the existence of an account with a "bad credit" provider as a negative, or is it only the credit limit, balance, payment history etc. that's taken into account?
Thanks in advance.

Sure they do. I was asked security questions as part of a credit check with EE. One question asked who my mortgage provider was.MorningcoffeeIV said:They don't see the name of the lender.0 -

But they don't know the answer. It goes via the CRA for verification.
So the answer remains - they don't.2
