Have overpaid Eon but still no refund..

Overpaid Eon earlier this year based on estimated bills. 
Still fighting to get money owed back.
Eon was charging for 2 gas meters at one residential address.  Only one meter there. The bills they send show no actual figures for gas on nonexistent meter - all estimated. Sent numerous photos showing existing and only meter.
Amended bill gets sent showing account in credit but when I ask when I will get refund they send a revised bill saying I owe them!! 
Been going on since Jan 2022.
Am despairing of ever getting sorted.
Suggestions or help please.

    Have you followed Eon's  formal  COMPLAINT procedure or have you been relying on CS ?


    To make a complaint to E.ON, you can use the following methods12:
    • Call 0333 202 4606 for general complaints, 0345 366 5973 for smart meter complaints, or 0345 303 3020 for home move complaints.
    • Submit the online form on E.ON's website to make your complaint.
    • Address your written complaint to Customer Service Centre, E.ON, PO BOX 7750, Nottingham NG1 6WR.
    • Send your complaint to email.queries@eonenergy.com.
    Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
