Chase Selfies

Tried to open a Chase account but when the selfie had to be taken it did not work. Tried about a dozen times. It just kept saying the photos did not match up. Even rang the customer help line but they could not help either except to say to try and take a selfie again! while speaking to them and it still did not match up. I explained the passport photo was 5 years old and you do change as you get older. Even pressed the manual button for them to manually look at the photos to verify. Not heard back yet.

. Mine was a similar experience but I finally succeeded, try changing a few things like lighting, backgrounds and angles you take the pictures.1

Same here, took ages to get it to work. Some months later I decided to put the app on my tablet.....same process and then found out the phone app had been 'deregistered'. So I had to do it all over again to get the phone app working (as I found out, you can only have a fully working copy of the app on one device).'Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. Thanks for your comment. I tried all sorts of things like background, lighting etc. But it still came back not able to verify photos. More or less given up now. Got another bank card without any problems and they wanted a selfie and photo id which was accepted without any problems. I think it's the Chase software that is the issue.kaMelo said:. The main issue I had with Chase verification was with the passport, as it's quite difficult to get a clear image without reflected light. All of these services need to give better feedback as to the problem. I remember failing repeatedly with Natwest and ultimately finding out they wanted the passport photo against a light background, not a dark background.

Thanks for your comment. The passport was also difficult to get a clear image which I took about a dozen times in all different areas dark and light, holding it up, putting on dark background etc. Eventually got that to work but then it didn't match the selfie! I also had a problem with Natwest on my laptop which would not take the selfie to their satisfaction so I had to switch over to my phone. It is just such a waste of time.masonic said:The main issue I had with Chase verification was with the passport, as it's quite difficult to get a clear image without reflected light.
