Motability Scheme/PIP/DLA - Pensioner

My wife who is at a pensionable age and receives Attendance Allowance and has a Blue Badge.

Recently looked at joining the Motability Scheme.

From the Eligible checker, it says she needs PIP or DLA, yet dla is being replaced with pip and because she is a pensioner she has to claim attendance allowance.

Can she apply for motability even if she receives attendance allowance where dla is replaced with pip which she is outside the age bracket for pip.

Unfortunately, she will not be able to access the motability scheme because AA has no mobility part like PIP or DLA does. 

Yes, DLA has replaced PIP for all those that were born after 9th April 1948. For those that were born before this date, if they were claiming DLA before state pension age then their DLA continues for as long as they remain entitled to it. Same applies to those that are state pension age and claim PIP, it continues for as long as you remain entitled to it.

If she had already been receiving PIP or DLA with the high mobility component before pension age she then she would have been able to no matter her age, but as poppy says above, it's not possible for your wife since she claims AA.
