80's O levels serve you well @QrizB.Perhaps Fluke should have written '0volts singly from both conductors'. ....or something.It should be noted that there can always be a resistance from aany conductor ( not in a vacuum) to 'earth' albeit exceedingly high that can cause very slight leakage current. As an example ample the resistance though the atmosphere. It is usually so small that it is very difficult to measure especially with a volt meter that might have a resistance a 'thousand' times less than the thing you are trying to measure. That is why there are Insulation testers.The best example being lightening where exceedingly high potential between clouds/ earth starts a breakdown with dramatic consequences. Specialist equipment is used to measure that potential difference.But I digress...not realy relevant to the issue!It should be noted, as per another thread the problem of low insulation resistance can be any part of the circuit including the inverter itself...or it's measurement system!2
