advent 7087 laptop

can any1 help i have a advent 7087 laptop which i got off my brother,it recently went funny so had to i had to re-install a copy of windows,everything went fine except i cant use the built in wireless on it now,as i got it off my brother i dont have a back up disc for the drivers,the blue wireless light comes on when booting up but then goes off,have been into device manager and it says drivers not installed but no idea where to get them from

Is the wireless card switched on? Have a look on the keyboard and you should see an 'Fn' key and a wireless symbol in the same colour. Hold the Fn button and press that key to see if it enables the wireless.

Might be worth looking at the Device manager to check if the card is installed correctly.

just tried pressing the fn key with the wireless key,the blue wireless key keeps flashing now,been in device manager it has a yellow question mark over the pci modem,then when i click on it it says the drivers not installed(code 28)

Find the downloads for your model and install the latest drivers.

Hopefully that should do the trick.
