Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Good your tests were ok Florence, hope Mr F is better soon.
Pleased to hear the new school and nursery starters got on well.
Hope you've managed to save your hanging baskets Scarlet, I gave up on mine and put them in the brown bin.
Lovely day again yesterday, I sat out and read for a while before going swimming. It's looking good again for today so will enjoy it while it lasts.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine if you have it. Take care. XX

Morning folks.Pool session was good yesterday, I worked really hard at it. I'd prepared my lunch beforehand and was so ready for it. Today could be another lovely hot day. After our miserable summer so far I'm determined to enjoy it.I hope that everyone feels the warmth today. Happy Thursday to all.10

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's cloudy here but warm again.
Yesterday was warm as well, it's nice to be able to go out without a coat.
All that happened yesterday was that we had our hair done, and tidied the garden. Dh cut a euonymus back a bit, to stop a neighbouring cat hiding under it and watching the birds. I love cats, and I know they are hunters by nature but don't want them hunting in our garden, if we can make it more difficult for them.
Camelot I've got one hanging basket left and I'm nursing it along. It might last a bit longer.
Snoozer, I'm glad to read that Esben was ok at nursery, they grow up fast, doesn't seem 5 minutes since he was a baby.
I hope your dg d will be all right at school Dp1.
Glad your tests came back without any problems Florence, hope MrF stays well.
Sorry if I've missed people, but hope you are all ok and have a good day today.
Take care folks.11 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. The sky was the strangest colour when I got up but the sun is now rising over the moors and forecast to shine all day again. Another hot one in store.
I am up and at 'em early as I have groceries being delivered shortly. I didn't really want much this week but wanted a few goodies etc to take to the van on Sunday. So I stocked up on cupboard stuff as well. I ordered dw tabs for the first time in years and couldn't believe the price! I have had a stockpile in the garage from DS's previous job where they could buy damaged boxes and mislabelled products dead cheap. I still have numerous bottles of hair conditioner too.
I got outside early yesterday before the sun got round the back and disposed of quite a few plants passed their best and cut back other stuff. It's starting to look a bit bare out there. I've left the big clumps of Japanese anemones for now but I don't think they will keep going much longer..I then tried sitting out reading but it was soon too hot and I retreated indoors.
I want to clean the kitchen and bathroom shortly, again before the sun gets round to them.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and poorly loved ones. Take care and be safe xx

Morning everyone and thank you starting us off nmlc
It's much too hot for me and I keep all the windows shut and blinds down.
Last night my lovely neighbour came round and we sat out with a glass of wine chatting.
Hope you all have a good day. xx10 -
Morning all,
There is already a heat haze here and the humidity is bad ,I find this heat very hard to cope with.
Wine group today and I’m really hoping it’s outside ,This months venue is just down the road from me ,so I can hobble down there!
Hip is v painful,I’ve been on the waiting list 3 weeks now the prospect of many more months is depressing.
if I was a horse they’d shoot me !Have a good day all and drink plenty11 -
Morning all
Another lovely day here, yesterday got a bit unbearable in the afternoon, hot flushes in this heat are no fun 🥵🥵🥵
Off to collect Rob today and take him to work, we didn’t do a lot yesterday we started a bit of weeding but it just got too hot to be outside, probably the same today.
I think I will do a salad for dinner I have some salmon that is ready cooked so it will save putting the oven on, will get some crusty bread to go with it.
DD’s flight was delayed about two hours yesterday due to an escaped prisoner they finally arrived about midnight and were starving, everything was closed but they found a Golden Arches just down the road so managed to get a bite to eat, they will go exploring today.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning everyone
Thanks for all the good wishes re little one starting school - I'm happy to report that she had a great first day and came out declaring 'I love school!' Phew! She looked so grown up in her tartan pinafore dress. Her teacher managed her medical care well with a little help from nursery staff and DD on the phone. I feel a bit sorry for her teacher - it's a lot for her to have to do as well as have the other children. She's a lovely young teacher and has been at the school a couple of years now, it was her first teaching job.
I was shattered after my afternoon at work and sat outside reading in the sunshine when I came home...it's forecast to be lovely again today.
Hope everyone has a good day today x9 -
Morning all.
Lovely and sunny here but with a slight breeze. Yesterday got very hot and I expect today will do the same.
DH actually felt a bit unwell yesterday afternoon. He has AF and had been standing in the kitchen making sausage rolls then said he felt a bit funny. He was very pale but laid down and had some water and I made sure he didn't do anything else. His back was also aching so he did some stretching exercises and recovered after a while.
Today I have a lot of things to fit in so had better get going now.
Take care in the sun today.9
