Try local garages. They might not recondition your engine, but will supply & fit one.Life in the slow lane0

I would suspect that is approaching a £2K bill without much effort. Is it worth it ?thebullsback said:Anyone recomend a company that can remove then recondition then refit my vauxhall agila petrol 1.2 engine ? Than you .0 -
What year is the car and what condition is in in otherwise? And how much mileage do you do? I have a 2002 model which is in superb condition and my regular service garage have advised me that if I was prepared to pay then at some future point having the engine replaced, or preferably the existing one re-conditioned would be a good option as opposed to spending £££££1000s on a new car, as I now only do around 2500 miles per annum.
I have to date had 21 years trouble free motoring for a total outlay (purchase, service, tax, insurance, repairs, petrol) of just over £35,000. £2k for a refurbed engine would in my book be a bargain! Best to have a conversation with your own regular garage - mine look forward to seeing my car for it's annual "medical" as she is now quite a novelty for them to work on. She passed her MOT the last 3 years with no issues, so I do get the tongue-in-cheek complaint that I don't give them enough work!
Hope you can get sorted - shall be interested to read what happens. BTW my garage is in Huddersfield area - happy to PM you their details if you are anywhere near.0
