Sorting broadband ahead of completion

Hey all.
due to exchange around 20th September. Ideally need to get the internet in the property sorted within a few days of moving in.
unfortunately limited in terms of our broadband options so BT is the choice however they take 10 days to get everything sorted meaning ideally with our jobs (WFH) we need to sort this soon.
is it a big risk to get this sorted now knowing a credit check will happen?
thanks

Why does BT have to be the choice0

BT should be able to provide portable broadband options which are good enough for WFH if not streaming TV. None of the suppliers can set you up until the current owner gives notice to their supplier and they are unlikely to do that before exchange0

When do you hope to Complete assuming you do indeed Exchange on the 20th?RedCannon94 said:Hey all.

Only 2 real broadband options on the new estate we’re moving to. BT & Shell Broadband who have some quite frankly horrendous reviews so that’s a no noGrizebeck said:Why does BT have to be the choice0 -
Sorry typo! Aiming to complete on the 20th, exchange 3-4 days before.propertyrental said:

The 10 day gap between an order with BT and having it in place is still an issue unfortunately0 -
Portable option is a decent shout. Will check the price on their data dongles.Scotbot said:BT should be able to provide portable broadband options which are good enough for WFH if not streaming TV. have asked the vendor to confirm their stance with it in terms of giving notice.0 -
I'm tethered to 4G at the moment between broadband suppliers, and performance is surprisingly good (even tv streaming is fine). Depends what exactly the bandwidth demands of your "WFH" are, but it could be survivable.1

If needed, could you find a wework style hot desk to work from (or weirdly, depending on where you are in the country, a cheap hotel)? Alternatively, befriend your neighbours quickly?1

I run my house on 4G and that works really well. Get a 4g dongle and a cheap SIM and off you go.1

The only issue we had with mobile broadband was our network were not quick enough to tell us it was running out (text warning of 80% of allowance used arrived after it had actually run out) and to purchase a topup.Once my wife ran out we then found we didn’t have the password to her mobile provider to hand, and couldn’t reset as she had no data. This meant going to a relatives house and getting onto their WiFi.
It emerged afterward that facebooks app was using a lot of data in the background(she was unpacking rather than browsing at the time).1
