RBS Credit Card - Debit Card Repayments

Hi All,
Not sure if I am missing something here. I don't seem to be able to find a way to pay my RBS credit card using a debit card. I've tried online, and on the app.
Debit Card would be my preference as I am rewarded for spend on my debit card, and it's one of only two ways I can meet the minimum spend for rewards (previous payment to Virgin Credit card qualified as debit card spend)

There would also be no guarantee that RBS would classify the transaction the same way Virgin do, it may not qualify for cashback (Chase for example have a number of exclusions, credit cards likely come under "debt repayments" and its possible the one you got cashback for before slipped through the net and you probably shouldnt have done so)1

Not all CC's allow payments via debit card.Life in the slow lane3 -
Thanks, Yes appreciate that. I was surprised that Virgin CC payments qualified, as the exclusions are quite explicit on Halifax rewards account. Ultimately it's only £5 per month, but better in my pocket. Shame my 0% ended with Virgin.la531983 said:There would also be no guarantee that RBS would classify the transaction the same way Virgin do, it may not qualify for cashback (Chase for example have a number of exclusions, credit cards likely come under "debt repayments" and its possible the one you got cashback for before slipped through the net and you probably shouldnt have done so)
Chase in particular are quite savvy with cashback qualification, and not as appealing as before. My farts hospitalize small children

I have a Lloyds CC which I pay with my Virgin debit card as follows: in the app, I go to make a payment. It generates a list of U.K. banks. Scroll to the bottom and choose "my bank isn't listed". This automatically opens the window for paying by debit card.0

Similar story with Amex. Expect both will remove debit card support altogether at some point, as Natwest Group and HSBC already have.prettyandfluffy said:I have a Lloyds CC which I pay with my Virgin debit card as follows: in the app, I go to make a payment. The RBS app does something similar, but instead of debit card it reverts to a PAYIT / Openbanking faster transfer.prettyandfluffy said:I have a Lloyds CC which I pay with my Virgin debit card as follows: in the app, I go to make a payment.
