Early Summer holiday tips

A group of friends and I are looking to go on a fairly early Summer holiday, June or early July to miss the school kids rush.
When is the best time to book? (we've all started saving and have 0% credit card available to pay for it on when required).
Also, any recommendations for where to go? Needs to be fairly hot, not tacky like Magaluf 18-30, but somewhere with a decent, safe as possible night life and good beaches.
Any help is appreciated

hi gemmzie
last year i booked my hol to ayia napa just after xmas. the thomson webpirce was cheaper than the brochure so i asked them to match the webprice, they said no so i told them thomas cook would match price (hadnt been any where near thomas cook) she went to speak to her manager and came back and knocked money off the web price, so i would say shop around and try to barter with them by saying another company is cheaper
i really like cyprus, have been pathos and ayia napa and was surprised to enjoy napa i thought it would be like magaluf but its not and the cypriot people are really nice and friendly. i also liked lagana in zanteThe only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:
