PCN from TPS but I Paid SABA for the Parking Space at Railway Station

I will get back at some stage to photo the site...But it is some distance and out of my way...0

Both the National Rail and the West Midlands Railway websites do say on their respective parking pages...

Carefully worded to avoid criticising the 'competition'.

I've been had on this one, in the same way as @mj1 . Although to the tune of £150, so much worse penalties

Basically I have been parking in the large car park, paying on the SABA app and received 2 penalty notices.
The first I assumed was an activation issue, that I had inadvertently forgottent to activate the pass in app. So submitted an appeal and thought it would be resolved.
However I have just had second notice for a later occurrence where we definitely activated the pass, so looked online and found this post. Fines at 40 going to 70, so looks like the fine has been put up, possibly opportunitistically because people are making the same mistake as us.
So fine 1, beyond early repayment = 70.
Fine 2, just received today = 40 if I pay immediately.
Fine 3 (will get from when I parked y'day) = 40 if I pay immediately.
Totalling £150.
I want to be clear I understand it, as I have to park here for work-
Saba = the tiny car park next the the station?
If so do you know who owns the larger one and how do I pay online for that one?
Also the lack of clarity on all of this between the operator and parking companies websites is so poor that it feels like deliberate misdirection to make extra cash...

Thanks, I have tried to get photos, hope they are suitably redacted as I'm new to the forum.
I had a response to my first appeal - Total Parking Solutions have "kindly" agreed to reduce the charge to 20 as a first offence, which means 40 for the other two and I'm down to £100 overall. Better...

That's a POFA NTK which can hold the keeper liable. None of these are fines.
Do all the NTKs have that keeper liability paragraph on the right?
Consider paying the £20 online - IF IT IS STILL AVAILABLE? - to kill off the first one, then either IGNORE the other two or go through the farce of so called 'appeal' (then ignore them again if you lose at POPLA).
TPS do not sue. But maybe pay the £20 only as a gesture of goodwill. Or don't pay any of them. Perfectly safe.
I assume there are 2 car parks and you paid for the SABA one in error.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Jumping into your post, I've been caught by the same unfair parking fine at Long Buckby Station. It seems that so many people have been caught out by it, some locals got together & there's an article about it in the local news and on BBC news. Apparently there was some offer to improve the signage, but it hasnt happened. The signs are so vague that I'm still unsure where to park if I buy an advanced ticket online. So I now just pay by machine on the day. I have appealed my fine so hopefully it gets reduced to £20. But I feel I should complain somewhere, is there some kind of "ombudsman" for this sort of thing?0

oh, I have read through this thread and suddenly realised my mistake at Long Buckby! I am 62 but have only just learned what "Permit" actually means
I avoided the "permit holders only" parking area, believing that a permit was something regular travellers would apply for that lasts for months/a year, like a resident parking permit. However, buy a day parking ticket online & its now called a "permit".  I admit I am a bit literal and I dont get out much, but am I the only one who would be confused by this? 0
